Asphalt/Composition Roof Photos

Growth left too long on an asphalt roof 4-5 years. You should clean every 3 years to maximize roof life.

After a low pressure wash you can see how the heavy moss has taken some of the grannuals off the shingles only because moss was lsft on the roof too long.

This picture displays how moss will tear away at the shimgles all the way down to the tar which takes life away from your roof.

Heavy Moss. Never let it get this heavy - zinc strips don’t work either that were installed along ridge line - always use zinc powder. This roof is only 4 years old.

Zinc powder is the best and strongest way to fight moss and fungus growth after a good clean.

This picture shows how debris was left in a valley for an extended period of time and then cleaned. Extensive premature wear & tear on shingles. Roof blow off on valleys are very important on a yearly basis.
